LVTC member Elena Seoane delivered a plenary lecture at the 4th Gibraltar International Conference (GIC4) in Cádiz (6–8 May 2026). In her lecture ''Silenced by colonialingualism: language erasure and literary invisibility in Gibraltar', Elena discussed the imminent loss of multilingualism in Gibraltar and the marginalisation of its writers, despite their international recognition. Following on from the success of previous editions held in Cambridge, Vigo and Basel, this conference aimed to continue raising awareness and provide a forum for the growing interest in Gibraltar studies.
