The English Linguistics Circle (ELC) research network organised the second edition of the International Workshop ‘Modelling the linguistic architecture of English: cognitive and empirical developments’ in Vigo on 19-20 January 2023. This (face-to-face) conference was intended as a discussion forum that brought together senior and junior scholars and researchers from different countries for the purpose of presenting new strategies and methodologies applicable to the theoretical and empirical description of language(s), with a focus on English.
