Dr. Francisco Gallardo-del-Puerto (University of Cantabria) was invited (within the IDAES doctorate programme) to deliver the talk entitled 'Does content-based foreign language teaching enhance pronunciation achievement?' on 15 December 2023. Dr. Gallardo-del-Puerto discussed the scarce research on the acquisition of pronunciation in content-based foreign language teaching programmes, presented his new research project on the acquisition of L2 Englishg pronunciation in (non-)CLIL contexts in Primary Education in Cantabria, and concluded that there is still no clear evidence indicating that learners' pronunciation benefit from content-based instruction.
