New edited volume on corpus linguistics

26/04/2026

A new publication by LVTC members Nuria Yáñez-Bouza, Dolores González-Álvarez and Esperanza Rama-Martínez is out! Published by John Benjamins in the Studies in Corpus Linguistics Series, Register and Discourse through the Lens of Corpus Linguistics demonstrates how register and discourse intersect as mutually informing dimensions of language use, enriching established research traditions and offering practical models for future inquiry. The studies address diverse settings – teen talk, Reddit forums, news media, historical newspapers, workplace interaction, political debate, and economic discourse – and incorporate synchronic and diachronic perspectives, as well as cross-linguistic comparisons. More details about the volume can be found here.
