Research seminar on rhythmic analysis

A two-day seminar on rhythmic analysis was held on 12–13 March at FFT. The seminar was delivered by Paolo Roseano and Víctor Bargiela (UNED), and focused on theoretical and methodological approaches to the analysis of rhythm in spoken language. The event brought together Master’s and PhD students interested in advancing current methods and perspectives in prosodic and rhythmic research. The sessions explored key concepts in prosody, as well as practical tools for analysing rhythmic patterns across languages, providing participants with both conceptual foundations and hands-on analytical strategies. The seminar was organised by the directors of the Laboratory of Language and Cognition, Rosalía Rodríguez Vázquez and Miguel Cuevas Alonso, with the support of the iLingua Institute, the Faculty of Philology and Translation, the LVTC research group and the Department of English, French and German.
