Research interests
My main line of research focuses on uncovering the linguistic patterns and strategies used by multilinguals as they switch seamlessly between their languages. I work on different communities and language combinations (e.g. Welsh-English, Welsh-Spanish, Spanish-English, Basque-Spanish, Papiamento-Dutch, Purepecha-Spanish, Portuguese-Dutch, Spanish-Dutch). My research program takes a cross-disciplinary approach using converging methodological tools ranging from corpus data to behavioural methods, and more recently also electrophysiological measures.
