Nuria González Fernández is an interdisciplinary researcher whose work specializes in the intersection between Psychology and Linguistic/Discourse Analysis, particularly focusing on the identification and psychological applications of linguistic markers. She obtained a BA in Psychology (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, 2018), followed by an MA in Applied Clinical Psychology (Universidad de Barcelona, 2020) and an MA in Teacher Training, specializing in Educational Counseling (Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, 2023).
Professional activities include holding the position of Research Assistant at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona (2019–2020), an Invited Research Stay at Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna (2020) and serving as a Collaborating Researcher at UNED’s PsychLab (2024–2025).
Currently, she is a PhD Candidate in Linguistic Studies at the Universidade de Vigo (2025–present), supervised by Dr. Miguel Cuevas Alonso and Dr. Manuel Isorna Folgar. Her dissertation is framed within the research lines of the Language and Cognition Lab, specifically focusing on linguistic markers as indicators of cognitive impairment in the context of addictions.
Her research output includes conference presentations on clinical case formulation using Fuzzy Cognitive Maps (MCBs) and studies on substance consumption patterns, as evidenced by contributions to international congresses (e.g., SOCIDROGALCOHOL, 2024, 2025; Aitana Congress, 2020).
